The Satvik Resort, designed to nurture body, mind and spirit. is an ideal vedic retreat in Himalayas at a height  of 4,700 feet above sea level, just outside the lake town of Bhimtal. Built on part of the legendary Chyawan Rishi Ashram, the resort offers a stunning panoramic view of the mountains of Karkotak in the North, the ancient Gargi River in the south, and the famous Haidakhan Babaji's principal ashram in the East - revered as one of the holiest places in India.

Since Yoga learning is an infinite process Intensive residential Yoga Teacher & Vedic Lifestyle Counsellor Training courses are conducted at The Satvik Resort in a programme set by the founder, Pulak Ranjan Shukla, a highly experienced yogi & vedic scholar who has been practicing since 1979' .

The duration of the course is from one month to as long as mutually convenient,. with many unique and special features,

For one well versed with Yogic & Vedic traditions, the supreme significance of the location would be clear.

The accommodation and facilities can be be compared to star hotel, even though the ambience is very ethnic.

Covers:

Theory and Practical

1. on Yoga Shatkarma, Asana, Pranayama, Dhyaan, Bandha, Chakra and Mudras
2. Appreciation and Use of Ayurveda in Daily living
   
3. Satvik Lifestyle Management Counseling
4. Satvik and Ayurvedic cuisine and decoctions.
5. Karma Yoga - ( one is expected to put in some hours every day in the upkeep as well as kitchen activities.)

Interested candidates can apply  prior by email. Admission is on first come first served basis, therefore the applicants should indicate their next available option month in the application along with their preferred month. On being chosen the candidate would be intimated by phone as well as email.

Within a week of intimation the candidate is expected to deposit US$ 500 of the fee amount  into the bank account of The Satvik Resort ( account number provided on request) or through Paypal (email id provided on request)

The balance has to be paid prior to their arrival at the retreat.

Yoga Teacher  & Vedic Lifestyle Counsellor Training Certificate:

The person enrolled for the training would be given a certificate at the time of leaving describing his / her abilities to teach yoga and Vedic lifestyle counselling based on the analysis of the founder of The Satvik.
 

Kindly note: The yoga discipline requires a high degree of self discipline. The Satvik Resort does not allow any form of tobacco or intoxicants. Simple vegetarian, nutritious meals are prepared here,  no outside food is permitted.

Book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

How to reach: The Satvik Resort is in Bhimtal. It is 19 kilometers from Kathgodam railway station. Kathgodam is eight hours of train run from Delhi station. There are two trains, one at night ( Ranikhet Express) and the other by day ( Uttar Sampark Kranti Express) to reach.

Alternately one can drive from Delhi directly in about seven hours covering a distance of app. 300 kilometers.

On request travel agents can be asked to make travel arrangements. App. US $250/- should be sufficient to cover the to and fro expenses including overnight stay at Delhi / Gurgaon. On request transit accommodation and transportation arrangements can be made. Actual charges levied.

"When I discovered the Satvik resort during an email search, I intuitively felt it was the perfect place to pursue my yoga teacher training. And even before my arrival to India, the sincerity of communication I received from the Satvik validated my intuition.
